As a result, we will no longer be posting updates to Homestyle Happenings & Rise & Shine.

New Deep Dish Pastas and Free Dinner Promotion

The Bob Evans menu now features four NEW Deep-Dish Pastas, including Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo, Pot Roast Stroganoff, Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Chicken Parmesan. Each pasta will be offered in a dinner and “savor-size” portion so appetites of all levels can be satisfied!

The 39th Bob Evans Farm Festival is a celebration of the harvest season that attracts thousands with entertainment, traditional arts and crafts, farm contests, food and many activites for children. Bob Evans Biscuit and Gravy Week Promotion Recap

Last week, Bob Evans celebrated National Biscuit and Gravy Week with a “Where are Biscuit and Gravy” promotion on Facebook.  Starting Monday, September 7 and ending Friday, September 11, fans of the Bob Evans Facebook page could win a daily prize by being the first to guess the whereabouts of Bob Evans mascots, Biscuit and Gravy. The mascots appeared all over the map from the new Bob Evans prototype in Xenia, OH to the Bob Evans Farm Festival. The fact that these locations were very spread out didn't seem to hold people back--responses for this contest were received within MINUTES of us posting the pictures!  The Prizes differed day to day and included a Garmin nuvi® 750, a Kodak® 8" M820 Digital Frame, an Apple iPod® Nano 16GB (PRODUCT) RED™ Special Edition and, of course, Bob Evans gift cards!

Many of the Bob Evans Facebook fans took part in the contest, guessing the secret location of Biscuit and Gravy each day. We had a lot of fans contacting us and telling us how much they enjoyed guessing where their favorite dogs (Biscuit and Gravy) were hiding out. One excited fan even submitted his own picture with Biscuit and Gravy asking if we could guess where he was! We appreciate all of the support with this contest and look forward to involving our fans more often in the future!

Pelotonia Bike Tour a Great Success

Bob Evans had the opportunity to participate in The Pelotonia Bike Tour for cancer research last month. Ten employees from the corporate office agreed to take on the challenge of riding their bikes, forming a team- The MERLotonians. Together, they rode a total of 1,200 miles to raise money for The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center- James Cancer Hospital. The Pelotonia Bike Tour raised nearly $4 million for cancer research and Bob Evans contributed over $32,000!

It was an early morning for the corporate volunteers and riders, alike. The riders left on Saturday morning from Chemical Abstracts near the Ohio State University, wound their way down to Athens and ended up back at Canal Winchester on Sunday. Bob Evans served breakfast to the riders and cheered for them as the Tour began! Once the Bob Evans volunteers saw the 2,200 riders off, they packed everything up, headed down to Athens, Ohio and were ready to greet the riders the next morning for another pre-ride breakfast.

The following week, Bob Evans CEO, Steve Davis, recognized all of the Bob Evans corporate riders and volunteers for all of the work that they did to help make the first Pelotonia such a huge success! The MERLotonians and everyone else at Bob Evans can’t wait to help raise more money and more awareness for cancer next year! Bob Evans Biscuit Month Celebration has Begun!

On September 1, Bob Evans launched a month-long contest in appreciation for National Biscuit Month with promotions and contests every weekday during the month!  Starting Tuesday, September 01, 2009, make sure to follow @BobEvansFarms on Twitter for daily Bob Evans trivia questions every weekday.  Be the first to tweet the trivia question correctly @BobEvansFarms to win a $10 Bob Evans Gift Card and Bob Evans food product coupons!

The second week in September is national Biscuit and Gravy week and Bob Evans is celebrating with its very own mascots, Biscuit and Gravy!  Try to find Biscuit and Gravy in the “Where are Biscuit and Gravy” Facebook Photo Contest!  Starting September 7, 2009, become a fan of the Bob Evans Facebook Page and try to be the first to discover where Biscuit and Gravy are from a series of photo clues posted throughout the day.  The first person to correctly answer where Biscuit & Gravy are located on the Bob Evans Facebook Wall will win the prize package for the day!  The prize packages for the “Where are Biscuit and Gravy” Contest include:

Final Sunny 95 Block Party of the Summer Held this week

The final Sunny 95 Neighborhood Block Party of the summer took place last night in beautiful Dublin, Ohio, which was a bitter sweet moment for everyone involved.  Bob Evans celebrated by giving Bratwurst, Italian Sausage and Pulled Pork to many of the nearly 1,000 people who attended. 

Bob Evans not only gave away delicious food, but tons of coupons including Free Kids Meals and discounts for Bob Evans food Products were given to those who attended!

The Bob Evans Mascots, Biscuit and Gravy, were a staple at every Block Party and entertained the children, as well as had pictures taken with them, which were later available at each local Bob Evans for the Block Party attendees who had their picture taken.

The Sunny 95 Block Parties took place in numerous neighborhoods throughout the Columbus area including Hilliard, Delaware, Pataskala, Gahanna, Pickerington, Marysville, Powell, and finishing in Dublin.

A big thank you goes out to not only the caterers who helped during every Block Party event this summer, but the staff of Sunny 95.  Without their help, fun events like these would never be possible.  We look forward to all of the Bob Evans events next summer! 

Pelotonia Bike Tour This Weekend

This weekend, 10 Bob Evans employees will join the fight against cancer by riding in the Pelotonia Bike Tour. At Bob Evans, we win together as a team - and we're proud to be a small part of the larger Pelotonia effort. Pelotonia is a grass roots bike tour with its only goal being to end cancer. Pelotonia raises money for ground-breaking and life saving cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center- James Cancer Hospital.

Not only will our employees be riding in the tour, Bob Evans is also proud to be at the event each morning to feed the riders a delicious breakfast! We will have many corporate volunteers and our mascots, Biscuit and Gravy, will be helping to serve the breakfast as well!

Biscuit Month Contests All Through September

The whole month of September is Biscuit month, and Bob Evans is celebrating with online promotions and contests all month long!

During the entire month of September follow @BobEvansFarms for a daily trivia contest (Monday through Friday only).  Be the first to answer the trivia question correctly to win a $10 Bob Evans gift card as well as Bob Evans grocery product coupons!  And with 30 meals starting at 5.99 and under, that can go a long way.

The second week of Biscuit month is Biscuit and Gravy week, and Bob Evans is celebrating in a big way by hosting the “Where are Biscuit and Gravy” Contest!  To join in all of the fun, become a fan of Bob Evans on Facebook and from September 7-11 log on and try to find where Biscuit and Gravy are for great prizes, including an iPod® Nano, a GPS unit, a digital photo frame, Bob Evans gift cards and more!  There will be a series of picture clues posted on the Bob Evans Facebook page  to where Biscuit and Gravy are, and the first person to answer correctly on a comment will win the prize pack for the day! 

Also, the week prior to biscuit month, check out @BobEvansFarms on Twitter for two special  tweets for our Retweet contest!  Retweet the special message and be the 25th Retweet to win a $50 Bob Evans gift card and Bob Evans grocery product coupons.  The special tweet will come up at a random time during the week, so make sure to check @BobEvansFarms often so you don’t miss the contest!
